TeamCOLE have Challenged Gov. Wike to stop using Rivers State Money to gift PDP Members in the guise of appointment
The group said; It didn’t come like a surprise but rather a shock to many people when the appointment of thousands of PDP Members into the Rivers State Government was pronounced by the Governor. This was just 48hrs after the Inauguration of Unit Excos of TeamCOLE in Obio-Akpor & Phalga that witnessed thousands of lovers of the APC Governorship Candidate in Wike’s home town offering themselves to work for the victory of Arch. Tonye Cole at their various polling units.
So it was expected as Gov. Wike rushes to appoint 14,000 forgotten party members as political unit advisers showing clearly that PDP lacks ideas. Recall that the convener; Hon. REX DAVID during his speech at the Grand Finale of TeamCOLE Inauguration on Sunday 9th October 2022 at Ojukwu Field, Mile 1 accuses the Wike led administration of lack of empowerment and concern for the ordinary Rivers Man. And charges the people of the state to collect whatever bribe Gov. Wike will throw at them that he didn’t give them for the past 7years. He told them that the money is theirs, so they should collect it and vote for Tonye Cole.
Gov. Wike has continue to use Rivers State money as his personal estate. Appropriating and distributing as he so wishes. And intensionally withheld every form of empowerment that could enrich the people until now, few months to the election so he will use their impoverishment as a tool to subject their wills to whatever he wants. In a state where pensioners and salaries are owed. No jobs for the youths were created for the past 7 years and the state ranks almost the highest in poverty index, one wonders where the money for this thousands of people that have been appointed have been all this while.
TeamCOLE urges her members to remain focus and continue to work hard in their various units until Arch. Tonye Cole is sworn in as the next Governor of Rivers State. And also, assures the youths that a man with a proven record of job creation is coming to take over.
