GBENEMENE KEN-KHANA AND HIS CHIEFS-IN-COUNCIL RECEIVE CHIEF OJI NGOFA.
The King of Ken-Khana, Gbenemene Nziidee Eguru, on Friday, 13th January, 2023, in unison with his Chiefs-in-Council , received the only visible Senatorial Candidate of Rivers South-East, Ambassador Oji Ngofa in audience.
The Candidate was introduced to the Chiefs in Council by the Director General of Oji Ngofa Senatorial Campaign Council, Dr. Elvis Lebura Ikoma.
Greeting the Gbenemene and his Chiefs-in-Council, Ambassdor Oji Ngofa declared before the Palace that he has come to officially notify the King and his subjects, that he would be contesting for Senate in the February 2023 General Elections.
Chief Ngofa decried before the King the dearth of a visible voice at the highest level of representative federal governance, with it’s consequential lack of leadership direction for the good people of Rivers South-East. The Ambassador posited that he has got the experience and tutelage to fit in as acapable voice and representative for the Senatorial Constituency. He therefore sought the Royal and Traditional blessings and endorsement.
King Nziidee applauded the young Ambassador and Senatorial Candidate for the visit. He added that it was worthy for a politician of his type to accord the LUUBARA and Ken-Khana people the honour of his visit. The Monarch stated that his community was already mobilizing all eligible voters to go get their PVCs, as it is the duty of citizens, to vote in performing and credible leaders into office come February and March General Elections.
Gbenemene Ken-Khana admonished the Candidate to be a man of his words, and know that, this dispensation shall consider candidates above every other interests, and that, the mission and vision of candidates shall determine, to a great extent, where the votes shall go. “A good product markets itself”, the King avered.
Prayers and blessings were pronounced upon the Candidate and his entourage by the Gbenemene in-Council.
