PRESIDENT OF MOSOP IN CANADA ENDORSES OJI NGOFA.
Says: “The Name Ngofa Reverberates Across America, Europe And Africa…”
Saturday, 21st January, 2023 witnessed an official endorsement of the candidacy of former Nigerian Envoy to the Royal Kingdom of The Netherlands, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary, His Excellency Chief Hon. Oji Nyimenuate Ngofa, APC Senatorial Candidate for the good people of Rivers South-East District, in the February 25th, 2023 National Assembly Election.
The serving Canadian Chapter President of Ogoni Nation’s apex socio-cultural cum minority rights advocacy hub, Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People MOSOP, Chief Sampson Ntimnee, popularly known as ‘NleZagara’, at his home town of Sogho, supported by his teaming followers, Ward Chairman, women and youths of Sogho Ward 4, on their behalf, and onbehalf of thousands of Ogonis based in Canada, drumed up their consensus endorsement of the candidacy of Ambassador Oji Ngofa.
NleZagara enthused that the name Oji Ngofa reverberates across America, Europe and Africa. Recall that Chief Oji Ngofa, as Nigeria’s Ambassador to The Netherlands served in so many capacities , that moved him outside his domestic enclave of The Netherlands to other parts of the globe within schedules of duty; America, Europe and Asia. The Ambassador was Chair of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons OPCW, he also represented Nigeria at International Criminal Court ICC, and the International Court of Justice ICJ, to mention but a few. The MOSOP President said:
“There could be no better option for Ogonis than sending this great son of ours on this serious mission of representation. Ngofa is an experienced global figure and Rivers South-East needs a vocal person who could deploy the wealth of intellect, administrative, political and global exposures, to the work of a Senator, and thus, serve as a bridge between the highest government of the land and the people he represents”.
NleZagara took the Senatorial Candidate and his entourage along a brief history of his sojourn through the arduous and painful paths, which the Ogoni Martyrs (represented in the person of Late Ken Saro-Wiwa) took, to see to a liberated and emancipated people, and, decried heavily, the present state of political misgovernance and poor representation of the zone.
