The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has pledged to make Akuku-Toru Local Government Area better than it is today when the consolidation and continuity team comes on board.

The gubernatorial candidate made the pledge while addressing multitude of people who filled AKULGA Stadium to its brim during the Rivers PDP state-level campaign rally for Akuku-Toru Local Government Area on Monday, 13 February 2023.

“You now have a connecting ring road, better health services, schools, your security and the living standard of your people have also improved under this administration.
“We are coming to consolidate the development already put in place in this LGA and add to it to make Akuku-Toru better and prosperous.
“Governor Wike has done so well not just in Akuku-Toru but the entire Rivers State. The Trans-Kalabari Road is one promise that was not kept by his predecessor, Governor Wike did not just start the 1st phase of the project, he completed it. We will start and complete the 2nd phase when we come on board,” he said.
Sir Fubara asked the people of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area to support the Peoples Democratic Party to retain power in the state so that they will continue to enjoy dividends of democracy.
“We are here to tell you that we need your support. You should vote PDP in the governorship, senatorial, federal house of reps, and state house of assembly elections for a better and prosperous AKULGA and Rivers State.
“We will not fail you, support us to bring better things to Akulgans. We will protect you, develop your youths, and continue every good thing this administration has given you.
“This project is your project, it is not Sim Fubara’s project, it is not Ngozi Odu’s project, it is a project for all of us. We must all key into it and defend it,” he added.

“You are not only the best in mobilisation, in terms of organisation, in terms of colour and beauty, you have shown that you know what you want.
“Let me also use this opportunity to commend the chairman of the council for this beautiful stadium. If we can have this in all the 23 LGAs of the state, it would be well with us.
